Introduction to French Wine In Rhone Valley From Louis Cheze

Domaine Chèze is a family property taken over in 1978 by Louis Chèze . This estate is located on the top of the hillside of the commune of Limony , on the right bank of the Rhône , 60 km south of Lyon , in the heart of the northern Côtes du Rhône vineyards.

 



Mr. Chèze began the adventure with 1 ha of Saint Joseph and a few vines for rent. Today the estate represents 35 ha of prestigious appellations such as Condrieu , Saint Joseph and Vin de Pays.

 

The determination, curiosity and rigor of Mr. Chèze are required with regard to the monitoring of the vineyard and the development of the wines. Each vintage is a questioning in order to obtain the quintessence of the terroirs. Many cuvées with their particularities will delight the epicurean in you .

 

Louis Cheze Cinquante 50 Rouge 2016 $36 (UP $48)

Blackcurrant nose, beautiful full and round mouth with stewed fruit.

A lovely Rhone wine made of 50% Shiraz and 50% Merlot (Cinquante means 50), delicious with meat. Enjoy this treasure! Directly from the vineyard.

It is a cuvée of discovery of Rhodanian Syrah, with its fruity and spicy aromas, worked with the same rigour since 1984.

Red-coloured with purple tints, aromas of violet, pepper and leather. TasteStraight attack with a beautiful roundness.

A 100% Syrah delight that will ravish those well acquainted with this grape. The wine is indulgent and fruity. The structure is smooth and velvety, framed by almost-candied fruit flavours.
