A beautiful little winery created in 2006 by a couple of passionate wine lovers, inspired by the quest for perfection.
Located on the prestigious countryside of Saint-Emilion, classified as a world heritage site, it produces a wine of great elegance : Château ADAUGUSTA, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, coming from old vines planted from Merlot and Cabernet franc grape varieties.
Grape Growing and Winemaking benefit from the best counsel of Hubert de Boüard Consulting.
The wines of the estate exhibit a deep ruby/purple colour, with spicy aromas of black currant and red fruit, and a delicate touch of smoky oak.
Expected life : 10 to 15 years.

« Fresh bramble fruit, dried flowers, licorice and some peach on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins. Sleek and juicy. Try from 2024 »

« Bountiful and big aromas include those of plums, pches, rich black cherries, mandarins and aniseed. Not a tame wine. In the mouth a balanced medley of ripe fruit in a well-structured tannic matrix. Flavors include plums, blackberries, candy cane and eucalyptus. A juicy, nicely acidic inviting wine. You’ll ask for a second glass—light, fun, tasty, inviting. Bravo! Pair with lamb and mint sauce, pumpkin/cumin soup or a dessert of chocolate mint brownies. »

« Lots of cassis and Bing cherry notes as well as cedarwood, candied violets, and chalky mineral notes emerge from the 2018 Château Adaugusta, a medium-bodied, elegant, high-quality Saint-Emilion with moderate, ripe tannins, good mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, I love its purity of fruit, it's balanced, and it should drink well for 10-12 years or more. »
