90/10% merlot/cabernet, 2 years in oak. Bordeaux varieties ripened to excess and extracted, result in a discombobulated outcome. Ribena and blackberry pastilles. There's a thick layer of oak and spices plus a bitter green-walnut note infused onto the full-bodied palate. Clunky tannins stick to the mouth.
